Stacked Resentments vs Honest Communication

If something bothers you about something someone said in an interpersonal relationship, talk it out. Don’t play the silent treatment game. Your silence is not so silent. It’s obvious, and it’s not helping. And maybe instead of simply expressing your resentment directly, ask the questions that lead to finding common ground.

You can’t just declare an assumption of unfairness when there has been no discussion or negotiation. Let’s get there together.
